Indications : XAMIOL GEL 15G is use in this case :
-
Disorders of Ca metabolism, viral lesions of the skin (eg herpes or varicella); fungal or bacterial skin infections, parasitic infections, skin manifestations in relation to TB or syphilis, perioral dermatitis, skin atrophy, striae atrophicae, fragility of skin veins, ichthyosis, acne vulgaris, acne rosacea, rosacea, ulcers, wounds; guttate, erythrodermic, exfoliative & pustular psoriasis. Severe renal insufficiency or severe hepatic disorders.
Adverse Drug Reactions : Pruritus. Burning sensation of the skin, skin pain or irritation, folliculitis, dermatitis, erythema, acne, dry skin, exacerbation of psoriasis, rash, pustular rash; eye irrita
Dosage:

Apply 1-4 g to the affected area once daily. Recommended treatment period: 4 wk. After this period, treatment can be initiated under medical supervision. Max dose: 15 g/day or 100 g/wk when using calcipotriol-containing products. Max treated area: 30% of body surface.

Avoid application under occlusive dressings, on large areas of damaged skin, on mucous membranes or in skin folds. Avoid contact w/ face, mouth & eyes. Prolonged use. Concomitant use w/ other steroids. Limit or avoid excessive exposure to natural or artificial sunlight. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <18 yr.
