Per mL latanoprost 50 mcg, timolol 5 mg
Indications:
Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients w/ open-angle glaucoma & ocular HTN who are insufficiently responsive to another topical IOP-lowering agent.
Contraindications:
Reactive airway disease including bronchial
asthma, history of bronchial asthma, severe COPD. Sinus bradycardia, 2nd
or 3rd degree AV block, overt cardiac failure, cardiogenic shock.
Special Precautions:
Inflammatory, neovascular, chronic angle
closure or congenital glaucoma, open-angle glaucoma of pseudophakic
patients & pigmentary glaucoma. Remove contact lens before
instillation & reinsert after 15 min. May impair ability to drive or
operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Timolol: History of
severe cardiac disease. Aggravates Prinzmetal's angina, peripheral &
central circulatory disorders. Hypotension, cardiac failure resulting
in death, severe resp reactions, bradycardia. May mask signs &
symptoms of hypoglycemia & hyperthyroidism.
Dosage:
Adult (including the elderly) 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily.
