Contents: Tibolone.

Indications:  Estrogen-deficiency symptoms in postmenopausal women, >1 yr after menopause

Dosage: 1 tab daily

Contrainindications: Known previous or suspected breast cancer; estrogen-dependent malignant tumours; undiagnosed genital bleeding; untreated endometrial hyperplasia; previous idiopathic or current VTE; history of arterial thromboembolic disease; acute liver disease or history of liver disease; porphyria. Rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Pregnancy & lactation

Special precausions:Carefully assess women at risk of stroke, breast cancer & in women w/ an intact uterus, endometrial cancer; thromboembolic disorders, estrogen-containing tumours. Leiomyoma or endometriosis, HTN, liver disorders, DM w/ or w/o vascular involvement, cholelithiasis, migraine or (severe) headache, SLE, history of endometrial hyperplasia, epilepsy, asthma, otosclerosis. Not for contraceptive use. Cardiac or renal dysfunction; preexisting hypertriglyceridemia.

Adverse Drug Reactions: Lower abdominal pain, abnormal hair growth; vag discharge, endometrial wall thickening, postmenopausal haemmorhage, breast tenderness, genital pruritus, vag candidiasis & haemorrhage, pelvic pain, cervical dysplasia, genital discharge, vulvovaginitis; increased wt. abnormal cervical smear.

Drug interactions: Anticoagulants.
