Indications:

          Prophylactic management of asthma.

 

 

Contraindications:

 

          Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients

Special Precautions:

          Prolonged therapy (childn). Patients transferred from oral to inhaled steroid therapy. Avoid abrupt w/drawal of therapy. History of DM; active or quiescent pulmonary TB. Pregnancy & lactation.

Dosage:

          Accuhaler/Evohaler Adult & childn >16 yr Mild asthma 100-250 mcg. Moderate asthma 250-500 mcg. Severe asthma 500-1,000 mcg. Childn ≥4 yr 50-100 mcg. To be inhaled bd. Adjust dose according to individual response. Evohaler Childn 1-4 yr 100 mcg bd administered via a paed spacer device w/ face mask. Nebules Adult & childn >16 yr Prophylactic management in severe asthma 500-2,000 mcg bd. Childn 4-16 yr Treatment of acute exacerbations of asthma 1,000 mcg bd.
