Indications:
Reduction of elevated IOP in open-angle glaucoma, ocular HTN, paed patients w/ elevated IOP & glaucoma. Adjunct medical therapy for reduction of elevated IOP in primary chronic angle-closure glaucoma.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients
Special Precautions:
Possibility of permanent change in eye colour.
Monitor patients for increase in iris pigmentation. Heterochromia
(unilateral treatment). Eyelid skin darkening, eyelash changes
(reversible). Aphakic patients, pseudophakic patients w/ torn posterior
lens capsule or anterior chamber lenses, risk factors for cystoid
macular oedema. Chronic angle-closure glaucoma, open-angle glaucoma of
pseudophakic patients, pigmentary glaucoma, inflammatory &
neovascular glaucoma, inflammatory ocular conditions; acute attacks of
closed-angle glaucoma. Peri-op period of cataract surgery. Predisposing
risk factors for iritis/uveitis; severe or brittle asthma; periorbital
skin discolouration in Japanese patients; history of herpetic keratitis
(including recurrent cases associated w/ prostaglandin analogues);
active herpes simplex keratitis. Remove contact lenses before
instillation (may be reinserted after 15 min). May impair ability to
drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn.
Dosage:
Elderly, adult & childn Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) once daily in the evening.
