Indications:

          Listed in Dosage.

Contraindications:

          History of angioedema; patients who undergo LDL apheresis using dextran sulfate-immobilized cellulose, tryptophan-immobilized polyvinyl alcohol or polyethylene terephthalate; hemodialysis w/ acrylonitrile methallyl sulfonate Na membrane. Pregnancy.

Special Precautions:

          Bilateral or unilateral renal artery stenosis, hyperkalemia, renal impairment, cerebrovascular disorders, elderly. Severe HTN, patients who undergo hemodialysis. Patients on diuretic therapy, strict dietary salt restriction. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Not recommended w/in 24 hr prior to surgery. Lactation.

Dosage:

          Adult HTN, renal parenchymal HTN 5-10 mg once a day. Severe HTN, HTN w/ renal impairment, renal parenchymal HTN Initially 2.5 mg once a day. Diabetic nephropathy w/ type 1 DM 5 mg once a day. Serious renal disorder Initially 2.5 mg once a day.
