Contents:

          Naftidrofuryl acid oxalate (or naftidrofuryl hydrogen oxalate).

Indications:

          Symptomatic treatment of intermittent claudication caused by chronic occlusive arterial disease of the lower limb at stage II. Adjuvant treatment of Raynaud's syndrome; cerebral insufficiency & atherosclerosis especially which manifest as mild to moderate mental deterioration of dementia (excluding Alzheimer's disease) & confusion in the elderly.

Contraindications:

          Hyperoxaluria, history of recurrent Ca-containing kidney stones. Pregnancy & lactation.

Special Precautions:

          Maintain adequate level of diuresis during therapy to prevent formation of Ca oxalate kidney stones.

Dosage:

          Arterial disease of the lower limb 200 mg tds. Chronic pathological deficit in the elderly, cerebral vascular disorders, Raynaud's syndrome 100 mg tds or 200 mg bd. Max: 400 mg/day.
