Contents:

          Desogestrel 150 mcg, ethinylestradiol 30 mcg

Indications:

          Oral contraception.

Contraindications:

          Thrombophlebitis, thromboembolic disorders, CV or cerebrovascular disease or previous history of these conditions; severe HTN; severe liver disorder, cholestatic jaundice, history of jaundice of pregnancy or jaundice due to the use of steroids; Rotor syndrome, Dubin-Johnson syndrome; known or suspected estrogen-dependent tumours; endometrial hyperplasia; undiagnosed vag bleeding; porphyria; hyperlipoproteinaemia; history during pregnancy of severe pruritus or herpes gestationis. Pregnancy.

Special Precautions:

          Smoking; major surgery or prolonged immobilization; severe varicose veins; latent or overt cardiac failure; renal dysfunction; HTN; epilepsy or migraine; estrogen-sensitive gynaecological disorders. Discontinue if liver function tests become abnormal. Avoid exposure to the sun if there is a tendency to chloasma. Perform periodic medical exam during prolonged use.

Dosage:

          1 tab daily starting on the 1st day of menstruation, w/o interruption for 21 days, 7-day tab-free period.
