Contents:

          Ketoanalogues (nitrogen-free essential amino acid) & essential amino acids

Indications:

          As supplement for the management of patients w/ faulty or deficient protein metabolism in chronic renal insufficiency (GFR 5-15 mL/min) in conjunction w/ limited protein in food ≤40 g/day (for adults).

Contraindications:

          Hypercalcaemia.

Special Precautions:

          As uraemic symptoms improve, Al(OH)₃ administration has to be reduced. Hypophosphataemia.

Dosage:

          1 tab/5 kg body wt/day tds together w/ a very low protein diet (0.3-0.4 g/kg/day) & a high caloric nutrition (35 kcal/kg/day).
