Contents:

          Inactivated influenza virus vaccine (surface antigen) (haemagglutinin & neuraminidase)

Indications:

          Prevention of influenza.

Contraindications:

          Hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients & to residues of eggs, chicken protein (eg ovalbumin), formaldehyde, cetyltrimethylammonium Br, polysorbate 80 or gentamicin. Febrile illness or acute infection.

Special Precautions:

          Do not administer intravascularly. Patients w/ endogenous or iatrogenic immunosuppression.

Dosage:

          IM or deep SC inj Adult & childn from 36 mth 0.5 mL, childn 6-35 mth 0.25 or 0.5 mL. Childn who have not previously been vaccinated should receive a 2nd dose after an interval of at least 4 wk.
