Indications:

          Acute and chronic diarrhoea

Contraindications:

          Known hypersensitivity to Imodium.

Special Precautions: 

          Childn < 6 yr, pregnancy & lactation

Dosage:

          Adults and Children >6 years: Acute Diarrhoea: Initial dose is 2 caps for adults and 1 cap for children, followed by 1 cap after every subsequent loose stool. Chronic Diarrhoea: Initial dose is 2 caps daily for adults and 1 cap daily for children; this initial dose will be adjusted until 1-2 solid stools a day are obtained, which is usually achieved with a maintenance dose of 1-6 caps daily. The maximum dose for acute and chronic diarrhoea is 8 caps daily for adults; in children, it must be related to the body weight (3 caps/20 kg).
